The Hilton Princes Wharf

The project involved removing and replacing external cladding on the Hilton Auckland hotel’s east and west elevations, including dismantling the iconic “U” feature and installing a new aluminium façade. We delivered the reclad of the feature walls of the Hilton Auckland while keeping both the famous hotel and the busy restaurants and bars on the wharf below operating.  

By designing a scaffolding system supported by and attached to the building's structure on each level instead of extending it to the ground, we were able to reduce the impact of our work site, keep the commercial activities around it fully functional, and create a safe environment for the people enjoying Princes Wharf.

Additional works include passive fire upgrades, louvre and mast removal, and coordinating crane operations with Ports of Auckland.
